This Heavy Faux Fur Throw Blanket is indeed heavy. The front is a longer faux fur and the back is shorter. Both sides are white, not a cream, ivory or off white. I searched for a plush faux fur blanket in bright white to use as a throw on a bedding ensemble that I have in a guest bdrm. This heavy faux fur blanket coupled with the quilted comforter and flannel sheets should offer overnight guests a super warm and cozy feeling. The lighting in the pictures, despite my best efforts, does not show the blanket as a true white. I assure you, it is.
