It was a bit lower than I expected. But it's great product for it's price. The back braces wouldn't hold when the bench is in open position for lying down. Really, really nice swing! Heavy, well made. The instructions were pretty easy to follow. I would suggest having a hammer at the ready. A couple of the lag bolts were a bit difficult to get through the pre-drilled holes, but nothing too bad. The cup holders may be a bit far back on the arms to be useful, and I don't think they will accommodate a wine glass, LOL! I thought the price was very good for a "plastic" swing.
