They’re made of engineered wood in a distressed finish. Each chair features an open back with a crossbuck design, recalling the style of old barns. It has straight front legs and curved back legs and a contoured seat. Plus, plastic glides on all four feet protect your floors from scuffs and scratches. This set completes the look in any farmhouse, cottage, or coastal setting.

Ordered two of these individual chairs to complete the set of 4 I got with my extendable table. We didn’t put together the first four (assembly was complimentary with that order) so this was my first time putting them together. Pretty easy and didn’t have much trouble. Love these chairs. They seat is very wide and comfortable. The cross cross back is just the look I was going for. Note that with the matching table, you can’t fit all six chairs under the table. Since our toddler usually sits at the end and likes to get in and out of his seat often during a meal, his chair is usually always pushed out anyway, so this doesn’t bother me, but worth noting. The seat cushions are ones I found at a yard sale so not the right size but good enough for now. The chairs are sturdy and this set overall is the perfect blend of casualfarmhouse without being *too* rustic.
