The 1/2" x 40" x 54" chair mat, for carpet works pretty well. It stays put which is really nice. My chair doesn't sink into it making it hard to roll after sitting in it for a while and it looks pretty nice, too. I do wish it was another four to six inches wider, but the 54" length is good for my desk. For my purpose a mat that was 46" x 60" would be perfect. The material on the top side, does show where the mat folds in the middle. Optimally this would not show, but it's a pretty minor complaint.. Albert. Sparks, NV. Tue Aug 18 2026
