When washing gold or platinum-banded dinnerware in the dishwasher, use a gentle cycle and turn off the dishwasher before the drying cycle, or allow the dinnerware to cool before handling it. The high temperature of the heated drying cycle can cause the precious metal bands to soften. This 40-piece set includes 8 each: 10-3/4 inch dinner plate, 8-1/2 inch salad plate, 8-1/2 inch soup bowl (12 ounces), 9-ounce tea cup, and 6-1/2 inch tea saucer.
