A stunning image of an aquatic bird floating on a lake near the woodlands is captured in blue ripple glass against a landscape of various green colors with a bark brown ripple glass tree to match the shade's border. This wildlife inspired shade was created using the famous copperfoil construction process of the manufacturer and is complemented with a handsome mission styled based featured in a mahogany bronze finish.
I can't remember ever being more disappointed in a purchase than I was with this lamp. I debated about purchasing it to begin with because although I am in love with the design, it is definitely pricey at over $500.
When the lamp arrived, it felt like a joke. The description of the lamp shade refers to "blue ripple glass" and "brown ripple glass." From what I can tell, "ripple glass" is code for either plastic or plexiglass. That would be fine for an $80 lamp, but for $500+ I was expecting something a lot nicer.
In addition, the finial that screws on to the top of the shade is mis-threaded. There was NO way to get that sucker on straight.
All in all, I felt like I got the cheap knock off version of the lamp pictured. It is definitely going back and I will certainly be a more wary shopper in the future.. Marilyn. Plumsteadville, PA. Thu Jul 14 2016
