This rug is soft underfoot and while it’s just 2 people and 2 dogs on it for a couple days so far - it also seems to stay put without any extra assistance from grip tape or what have you - it could be a tad bit thicker for comfort but since i mainly got it to assist elderly dogs feet i am happy with it as is.
