When I received the bookcase, the two long sides were damaged from shipping. I called customer service and replacement parts were sent right away. When I started putting the bookcase together, the back, which is very thin, we’re warped from moisture (I live on the water). I laid them flat and put heavy books on top and they straightened out. The instructions for assembly are very precise. Be sure to hammer the dowels in good or they will pop through the connecting piece. Otherwise, I really like the bookcase.
