When this sofa was delivered in three boxes, I was frankly skeptical. In all of my prior experience, sofas were one solid piece of furniture that arrived with a protective covering of shrink wrap. I was in for a big surprise. As we unboxed this sofa, a number of things became clear. The construction is quite ingenious. The frame consists of six pieces. There are two bases, two backs and two arms. All of these fit tightly together with interlocking metal brackets that easily but securely connect. There are twelve legs that screw into the framework of the sofa. The assembly instructions are very easy to follow but hardly even necessary. Best of all, the comfort of this sofa is excellent thanks to the firmness of the two seat and two back cushions and the lovely boucle fabric.
