What a facelift! our living room is now a showplace. using smart lights, we can change the bulbs and therefore the look of the shades. even though the shades are blue when the smart lights are set properly, they appear to be shades of the rainbow. Just perfect. Installed in an area where due to the ceiling construction I had to have track lighting, but wanted something hanging. I hired an electrician to install and the result is lovely! I LOVE this lamp! It is beautiful and unique, and adds a soft, warm glow in the room. It is exactly as I hoped it would be when I saw it in the catalogue. I wonderd whether a 40 watt bulb would give out enough light but it is just perfect for ambience, In fact, I used the dimmer to soften the light a bit more. The only caution I would have is that you can see the bare bulb when you are standing up and looking directly down on the lamp, Therefore, I don't have it on an end table that is chair height (the glare would bother me).
