Per the assembly instructions, a little metal plate with two holes goes on top of the base, the pole screws go through the metal plate, and the nuts are tightened below the base.
However, the metal plate I received was machined incorrectly and does not fit over the two screws. It is a giant hassle to repackage and return all this. Very disappointed that I spent over two hundred dollars and do not have a usable product.. Andrea. Richardson, TX. Fri Oct 13 2023
