The color looks different in some of the pictures and in customer reviews. I hope it was going to be a little darker but it blended with our floors so much it looked to monochromatic in our space. The underside of the table top was a lot nicer in grain the peoper side. The "grain" look had some white washing effect. If you like that, it looks nice, but I preferred without it. It is a very nice piece. If we needed another dining room table in another part of the house, I would keep. The pedastal legs are nice and gives room for sliding chairs in.
