It isn’t a brown as I thought. It’s more a burnt orange with various colors throughout. I have a mango sofa, mustard yellow chair, aubergine chair and orange velvet curtains. It matches (whatever that means). I’m going for color blocking/texture maximizing. As you can see my cats are being ‘long babies’ on it together. They love it! Buy the pad if you get an area rug. Trust me. It will help it to not slide and also allows for comfort. The pad smells like frumunda chemical with American hot cocoa mix. The rug smells like normal rug. Not really bothering me. My kid says the pad smells like ‘the manufacturing process’. I like this because I’m stuck forever wanting to live a ‘conversation pit’ life without the pit. It’s boho, comfy, a tad fussy, interesting, and let’s face it hides the dirt. I might have to buy a special sweeper suction only vacuum for it as to not tear at the wrapped fibers.. J. Chicagoland.
