Bring timeless function and traditional hearth styling to your fireplace with the Hearth Craft Andiron. Designed to support firewood while enhancing the visual appeal of your hearth, this andiron set lifts logs off the fireplace floor to promote better airflow and a cleaner, more efficient burn. Both practical and decorative, andirons have been used for centuries to stabilize burning logs while adding architectural detail to the fireplace. Their elevated design helps improve fire performance while creating a finished, classic look — even when the fire is not lit. What are andirons? Andirons, also known as firedogs, have been in use for centuries. Andirons are used in pairs. Logs are laid atop the supports for burning in a wood fireplace. The andirons keep wood off the fireplace floor, allowing for better burning and less smoke generation. Andirons can be used in place of a fire grate (or basket), or they can be placed along either side of the grate to provide decoration.

Log racks are the perfect fireplace accessory for a few reasons. One: they keep a pile of fresh longs handy and next to the fireplace for quick and easy fire building, two: they keep wooden logs off your floor and minimize the amount of dirt and dust from spreading around. This curved log rack for example is constructed of wrought iron in a black finish.

I was having a hard time finding a smaller wood holder that wasn't chunky for the smaller space next to my fire place. I stumbled upon this one and was so glad. It is just the right size and I love that the design is more simple so visually it seems like it takes up even less space.. Tammie. Sulphur Springs, TX. Fri Sep 11 2026

A fox treads silently through the moonlit forest to grace the cosy hearth of the nature-lover. The fireback has been an indispensable part of the fireplace tradition in Europe since the 15th Century. The colonists carried it to their shores and now you can add that touch of elegance and history to your own fireplace. Firebacks are designed to rest on the floor of the hearth but fireback supports or feet may also be used to hold this fireback upright and raise it off the hearth if extra height is desired. All their firebacks are designed for use with both gas logs and wood burning fireplaces.
