It is semi grippy, which I prefer, not just a slippery water bottle. It is quite durable. The photo you're seeing is after at least a month of use and washing. The cord dries fast when washed as well, which is convenient. I usually wash it at night and the cord is easily dry by morning. The colors are very vibrant and a great combination of colors. I was in the dark about what the colors would turn out to look like, so it was a pleasant surprise when the bottle arrived! A classic varsity logo makes the bottle that much cuter. I will also say that my water stays quite cold for HOURS. I do not use this for warm liquids, so I can't comment on that.
