The desk itself is much bigger (deeper) than I thought, and I believe that information is not included in the description. The pieces arrived in perfect condition. Two issues with assembly: 1) Only 5 pieces had numbers on them; 2) The instructions were okay, but often did not state which direction to place a piece. As a result, I did alot of guesswork and ended up with two pieces in the wrong direction, but it would require taking the desk apart to correct. I managed to put the desk together by myself over two evenings. The desk is very sturdy! I love that there is room for my big keyboard, two monitors and two laptops, plus space for my large day planner. Even with all of that, I still have extra space!. Rachel. Olathe, KS.
