Checkered patterns are a staple in both classic and contemporary rugs, and this pattern is a modern take on the well-loved design. A series of short vertical lines appear alongside each other to create an asymmetrical square, with horizonal lines alongside it doing the same. Although the pattern isn’t a perfect grid, its seemingly random design has a similar effect while adding uniqueness and individuality to the room it’s in.
