I was looking for a non-traditional ceiling medallion for my Organic Modern decorating style. This is perfect. It is real wood and you can smell it. This is common because most replacement shades have standard spider fitters aka washer fitters. Will this fit your lamp? Our Uno opening is 1 7/16" which is the most common size, so be sure to measure your bulb socket to make sure the diameter is less than 1 7/16". Slip Uno adapters are made to fit directly over a plastic lamp socket found on lamps usually purchased at many popular retail stores. Uno fitter shades are difficult to find, so this adapter lets you use standard washer fitter shades on your uno lamp base. This adapter attaches directly to the harp, allowing the use of nearly any replacement lampshade. This is my second purchase for this specific medallion- it is small but works in compact spaces like closets and entryways. I really like it because I use faux styrofoam ceiling tiles to cover ugly ceilings after scraping popcorn texture (and to avoid drywall repair and re-texturing).
