Very heavy and sturdy. More pieces than I expected but it is not hard to put together. There are some visible seams when fully assembled but it's still a nice fireplace at this price point. Oh, this is going to work just fine in my office! It's the perfect size and it kicks out big time heat. It gets a bit nippy being in the front of the house so this will not only bump-up my comfort, but it will also lift the space I'm in; the ebony mantle and white base is beautiful.
