I let a local provider sell this to my wife, only to find out after it was installed that the reach of the spout and water from the back of the sink is only 2 inches - 3 inches max when faucet is maxed. This is not only not hygienic, as it forces you to move your hands so far forward they come in contact with the back of the sink, which transfers bacteria and splashes dirty water on the back countertop when washing, but it is also very uncomfortable having to lean forward over the sink and then either angle your hands straight down for washing in the bowl, while rubbing the back of the sink, or bring them above the sink line and splash water all over the back countertop. The MINIMUM standard for comfortable and hygienic hand washing is 4 inches from the back of the sink because of average knuckle to finger length. The range is 4-6 inches.
