We needed a tall but relatively slim bookcase. This fit the bill. Let me tell you a couple hints. Basically this is 3 units all screwed together. It works great and it makes assembly really easy. The directions to assemble show that you can construct this with some of the shelves offset from one another. It actually looks pretty nice and if I had a bit wider space I might have tried it. Easy to put together and it looks like the pictures. As other reviews mention, the wood is not real but it’s a pretty good fake. I gave it 4 stars because it doesn’t come with any wall mounting hardware and they are lightweight enough that they can easily tip if a little one tries to climb them.
