This rug is beautiful and really brightens up the room. While the majority of the rug is really soft, the portions where the patterns are change texture, but overall the rug feels really silky and soft underfoot. It definitely takes time for the kinks to settle and smooth out! I would definitely recommend using a rug pad for this rug as it's thinner and will feel even more plush with a pad underneath..
