Hand-painted green on white glazed porcelain with an antique gold base.

Beautiful lamp. I desired "color" on the lamp while still being "light" in the darkly painted room. The white background came through so that the lamp does not appear dark but brightens the room. Larger round base than expected but still fits on smaller nightstand. The height is perfect next to the bed and is not too tall. I placed a LED 3-way lightbulb that gave the illumination of 50/100/150 so that I could get the 150 "watts" on the 100 watts max. fixture. Works perfect.
