Buying a rug can be a nightmare. Keeping in mind, once you purchase a rug, you're purchasing it again and again; every time you enter the room. It's daunting to make the wrong decision! Often photos don't truly represent what you'll receive but honestly I have to say, this rug is MORE beautiful in person. This picture was taken just after unrolling it. Beautiful rug, very nice quality, sheds less than other wool area rugs that I have purchased. Only thing preventing a 5-star rating is the color - the gray background has a distinct blue tinge to it, making it kind of a slate color.
