We purchased this 3 Light Outdoor Post Light not with the intention of placing it onto of a post but with the idea of placing it onto a 4X4 wood post with a post-type adapter in order to make it fit. This wooden post is between an upper and lower deck and the light was purchased to shed light over the lower deck and onto the upper deck. And...this post light does the trick and looks fabulous! The metal on the light actually matches in tone to our other light fixtures. As usual, Wayfair delivery was super quick and the light was received in excellent condition.
