It is beautiful and just what I was looking for, I am still waiting on the matching tissue box holder to come in. It is ceramic and definitely can be chipped or broken. I am using this for a powder bath and don't need a large trash can as it is on the small side. I wasn't going to settle for a plain trash can-I have a beautiful just remodeled bath and needed the perfect trash can. Already got several compliments on it.
