I am very pleased with this rug, though it did not start off that way. It was delivered promptly no damage at all but when I opened the packaging the chemical smell was overwhelming! It went right outside! I called Wayfair and was offered the option to start a return shipping at my cost. They did not consider this to be a defect. Not happy with that but glad I did not return. I found a phone number for Loloi and spoke with a rep who said if left outside preferably in the sun for 2-7 days the smell would disappear. He said it was from manufacturing and then packaging immediately after manufacturing which trapped all smells. Thankfully I have a covered porch where I could leave it outside protected from weather but can get sun at different parts of day. If you do not have that option think twice about purchasing.
It took 3 days outside until the smell was faint enough that I felt comfortable in bringing it inside.
Once in my office I love it! It is soft underfoot and easy to vacuum. It feels and looks like a much more expensive carpet. It is neutral yet adds depth. I love the soft variations of color. I am very happy with the rug and glad that I did not return!. Clare. Gettysburg, PA. Sat Aug 29 2026
