The Sumire collection embodies the essence of Japandi, where tranquility meets functionality. Crafted from ash wood veneer in a soft ginger finish, these pieces exude zen. Cross-grain marquetry calls attention to natural wood grain formed over decades by the seasons. Tapered square posts narrow toward the top to provide a grounding foundation.
This is a beautiful, substantial mirror. It’s made of real wood, has a solid weight to it, and the glass quality is excellent. Because of its size and weight, you do need to know what you’re doing when hanging it, but once it’s up, it really elevates the space.
One thing to note: the frame has a slightly wider base than top, which makes sense given that it originally belonged to a dresser. It doesn’t bother me, but it may be noticeable to some depending on how particular they are. Overall, I’m very happy with it and think the quality is worth it.. Carolina. South Pasadena, CA.
