Hickory/Washed Coal

As with other reviews, the chair seats have no pre-drilled holes in the bottom to line up with the holes in the base frame. Therefore, you do "need two people" to affix them evenly on the base frame before screwing them onto the bottom leg assembly stage. But, what would you expect from chairs made in Vietnam. Otherwise, we are pleased with the otherwise ease of "assembly" outside the above and the overall appearance, firm feeling and smoothness of sanding finish. Swivel is smooth and chair is very comfortable w/o any cushions. May leave cushions off, per above. Two day shipping was great. Once again, I'll let the picture speak for itself. Solidly made, comfortable to sit in. These are quite a bit of work to put together and stain but if you know that going in and are okay with the extra work then I’d recommend them. I believe these are pine, but I wish it said for sure somewhere. Softer woods look better if you do a conditioner before you stain so I’d recommend that for these if you’re not painting them..
