One of our favorite ways to play with expectations in a space is to use a material we expect to be heavy – like, say concrete – in an airy way, like we've done with this pendant light. Its globe shade is made from concrete with a gray tone and hangs from a slender cord, creating visual tension wherever you hang it. The shade has a single opening at the base, so it directs the light of the included LED bulb downward. Yep, that's right, the bulb's included (meaning no visit to the hardware store). This light is compatible with both sloped ceilings and dimmer switches.
