Absolutely wonderful. First off it was packed well and every piece was protected. Secondly the scent was of fresh stain and or finish of poly but is dissipated within an hour. The wood was beautiful and it matched our 1960 end tables perfectly. The instructions were so easy to follow we had it together in an hour. I would say have 2people to put it together. OMG the bed is so well priced. I was really hesitant but I have seen needs in stores and hand crafted furniture stores for similar quality for triple the price. I am really happy with this purchase!
