This rug is very soft and low pile. The color combination is all neutral with soft light to dark grays in an abstract design. Exactly as described. Not super thin and I purchased a dual sided rug pad to go with it to protect from my two dogs. My only surprise is in person it looks more “bordered” with the colors than what I felt like the pictures showed. I think for the price it will be great for the area we are putting it down in.
