This is great for onions and potatoes! I do have parchment paper underneath in event of spoilage with these items. Fits inside my newer cabinets, with sliding drawers perfectly. I have it on the right hand side on the bottom pushed back! Because of the lip on bottoms of shelving, bottom does not open all the way but is no issue whatsoever.
