Imagine a perfect summer evening in your backyard: soft string lights dangle from your gazebo’s built-in hooks, friends laugh under the breezy double roof, and mesh netting blocks pesky bugs while letting cool air drift through unobstructed. By day, tie back the curtains to sip morning coffee as the kids play nearby, then effortlessly turn the space into a shaded grill station for weekend barbecues—all supported by a heavy-duty steel frame that stays steady through every gathering, plus an all-weather canopy that shrugs off sun, rain, and mild winds. Assembly is a breeze with clear instructions, so you can skip the stress and start making outdoor memories fast, whether it’s casual playdates, family dinners, or quiet afternoons with a good book.
First, I would like to say that this is a heavy piece and will take two people to carry it into the house. Secondly, I would like to say that the directions are mostly okay. Some things to note about the instructions: The white nylon strings get attached to the plastic loops on the end of the canopy top-NOT onto the canopy itself. The directions make it look like it does but they go into the plastic loops on the four corners instead. Also, the directions want you to put the whole frame together, with the top on, before putting on the material. DO NOT DO THIS. It is MUCH easier to put the canopy cover on while it is on the ground! Then you should not have to use a ladder at all! Also, in the instructions it is not very clear to tell, but the Velcro straps go on the bigger square bar and the screen goes on the smaller tube style bars. To make it easier to install the curtain, line up the straps for the legs with the curtains. Third, you WILL need two people to put it together-at least for putting the top on. There is also a part where you will need to screw a nut into a small space that is impossible to get any other tools into. The instructions make it look like there is a bracket on the outside of the frame, but it is trying to get you to pay attention to the metal bracket that is inside the frame wall, so that you will mount it correctly. Also, there is a piece that will go inside the frame wall when you are mounting two pieces of the frame together. Because the drawings are in black and white it can be confusing to make out these directions. We tried to include pictures of the complicated areas. We found it worked well to use the tiny wrench they provided and squeezed it between the sidewall of the tube and the nut. It isn’t heavy to lift about it is very big and will require a partner to help put it up. I did show pictures of a couple of different ways you can tie back the curtain walls as well. I really liked this feature. Lastly, the part that was very disheartening was the sewing on the curtain. It was a mess. Pieces of string everywhere, the zipper on one of the curtains is sewn shut, and in places the curtain is not sewn at all. This was quite disappointing. I am pretty handy with a needle, so I will make the best of it. But it certainly made me sad to see.
I did love that the very top of the canopy had a netting between it and the larger canopy! That will help to keep bugs out. I also loved the two hooks at the top of the frame for hanging things. I really liked that all the pieces were marked clearly and they even provided extra hardware for everything. I also REALLY appreciate that the ends of the canopy roof frame are adjustable so that putting the canopy top on and off is really easy. This will come in handy when we have major storms coming to us here in south Florida. Overall, it will work for us and is a decent buy for the price.
