Your Rough opening needs to be 8 5/8"h x 7 1/8"w x 4"d, so it will NOT work to replace most chrome metal units unless your opening can be easily enlarged. Unfinished SOLID pine. You can paint or stain this item easily as desired.

I hadn't thought about using the Jumbo rolls in a recessed TP holder, but when I saw this in the description and also that the wood could be stained to closely match the wood in the bathroom. Bit of a splurge but it seems I was optimistic with the width of vanity I purchased so didn’t have space for my planned surface mount tissue holder. We didn’t want to use the other wall as it’s tiled, but this integrated beautifully when installed right in our vanity cabinet!!!
