I was not really impressed with this piece for several reasons. I had really wanted to use this piece of furniture for a storage area, but once built, I see it looks more like a media center. It is very low and long. It would almost need one more level to be used for adequate storage. I got this in white and I think another color would make it look better. This was my choice, but the white came across cheap looking. I do like the metal industrial look of it, especially the cross design. I think that part of it is sturdy. My biggest pet peeve is the top boards. In my picture below the close up shows the top two boards butting up together. I could not get them exact and regardless, it should all be one long board, not two. This part bothered me the most. It was not difficult to put together. I did it by myself in about an hour. There are a lot of pieces properly labeled, so as long as you go step by step, the process was well defined. The strip lighting was a little strange to install, but once hooked up, it did work and was kind of cute. It would be nice if the cords were white along with white Velcro for this all white storage center. The black looks out of place. Nonetheless, I think it is ok and will meet my needs.
