The fan on this is a clear hard plastic which is very quiet. You can’t even hear it when it’s on. The fan speed also goes in a forward direction, and a backward direction. You can control the light and fan settings with a remote control. The remote even has a timer. So if you leave or need the fan or the lights off you can just set the timer and go. I mounted my remote next to my light switch. So when I enter the room I can just hit the light button, to turn on the light. It’s so handy!
