The institutional-grade frame is made from heavy-duty powder-coated 18-gauge round tubing with two U-shaped double-riveted cross-braces - one in front and one in the back - to securely support the double-hinged legs. Color-coordinated V-tip stability plugs provide added reinforcement at the frame's junction and matching replaceable glides prevent floor damage. The 2200 Series meets MAS Certified Green and ANSI/BIFMA standards.

Upon receipt of the shipment, I opened the box to examine the chairs, which seemed to be decent quality. However, a screw head and a thin metal rod fell out from the bottom of the plastic when I unwrapped the first chair.
