I really like the look of this… but the hardware and the pine wood strip is garbage. I tried to straighten the wood out a little and it did work some but the screws broke off in the wall. Then I tried to using my own screws and anchors and still cant seem to get the mantel to have a strong hold. Im going to attempt getting a stronger holding metal piece at Lowe’s… but so far it just doesn’t seem sturdy. Great Addition to our fireplace!!! Had to chisel a few jagged bricks which was the dirtest hardest part, drill, with bit and star bit for the concrete screws.
