First- this NOT appropriate housing for a rabbit as their full time home. Domestic rabbits should never live outdoors- as cute as this hutch is, it will not protect your rabbit from insects, disease, predators, hot/cold temperatures, or rain and snow.
I purchased this as a space for my bun who loves spending time outdoors where she can safely hang out at appropriate times and for that it's perfect. There is some opportunity for buns to chew but the key areas are metal, including the frame and fencing making it quite durable. The size is good as a part time home even for my 12lb rabbit but it will be tight if her husbun joins her in the interior part.
The wood seemed very soft and flimsy, with no protection against rain and snow so I painted all exterior wood. There is also no floor so rabbits and predators could dig under it. I buried chicken wire a few inches under the whole hutch and zip tied it to the frame. The assembly of the hutch was quite easy but those added elements were very time consuming.. Kaitlin.
