I wanted to give my thoughts on this solid surface tub while waiting on our contractor to start the bathroom reno. We weighed out the advantages of both acrylic and a natural substance but decided to go with this as it performs better long term as opposed to man-made options. Also important to me is the superior ability to hold heat, so that long soaks maintain a steady temperature while you are bathing. We will have to rework the drain as it is in a different position than our current one. Just keep that in mind if you are getting this for a remodel rather than a new build.. Gina. Dfw, TX. This is a beautiful bathtub! I was quite surprised with how quickly it arrived. Packaged in a very heavy wooden box on a skid. It’s elegantly built, and very deep to sit in.
