My husband and I bought the Helix Dusk Elite we are primarily back sleepers, we occasionally sleep on our side. I did regularly wake up with back pain prior to buying our Helix. I have mild scoliosis and weigh 120lbs I’m 36, while my husband is a fit 230lbs and 40. Problems we were having with our previous old foam mattress was my side of the bed sinking in towards his weight. Our old bed was also a queen which doesn’t work with two adults and two animals. We decided to upgrade from a queen to a king for that reason. I researched several different companies and mattress builds before deciding on a Helix hybrid. Their sleep quiz was very helpful, especially in having me consider questions I might not have on my own (like our weight difference and sleep position) I probably would have been fine with the Helix Dusk but I went for the Elite version because it was prettier. The cooling top was a must as we are hot sleepers and it is so stupid comfortable we decided to keep it even though it’s way too heavy for the hydraulic lift-up storage bed we bought. It was definitely a splurge but we know we will probably have it for the next 10-20 years so it was worth it and we are sleeping much better. Best mattress we’ve had. We originally bought a new Casper mattress but returned it to buy this one. I was fully convinced we would return this one too because I really didn’t want to spend this much money, but then I went from averaging about 4-5 hours of sleep to about 7. 5 hours per night.
