I purchased this island to use in my craft room. Like all RTA furniture, it was a process to put together-this is shipped as a flat box shipment; nothing is pre-assembled. My husband and I worked together and completed it in about two hours. Overall, we had little issue; the instructions were clear (enough) and everything was marked as it should be. The quality is as it should be for the price point. The reason for a 4-star rating is I have not really started using it but it appears it is going to serve the purpose for which I intended…more counter space, room for my granddaughters to join me in craft-making, and not overly big.. My cabinets are sarsaparilla color and Ive had trouble finding a color to match it that would have clashed (cherry colored or white). This antique black is perfect and the counter top matches the color of our dining room table and some colors in our counter. It took about 1 hour to put together by myself. Nice Piece - Took Longer to put together than expected - I am excellent at building things and enjoy flatpack assembly but this would have been much easier with assistance - assembling alone took almost 7 hours! was missing the handle/towel bar but I reported the missing part and they sent it and it arrived a week later. I was hesitant to buy this since a large amount of reviews on here said it was difficult to put together. As long as you follow the instructions and use common sense, it is fairly simple to do by yourself. Took me about 4 hours but it was so worth the time!
