I have always preferred firm mattresses over soft, foamy, shapeless ones because they provide support for lower back pain, but sometimes they can actually cause pain if they are too firm. This mattress manages to achieve a great balance by adding some top cushioning with the quilting. That way, the top is soft against your body but still firm enough to provide support. This mattress maintains its shape well, doesn’t creak, sleeps cool, and has minimal movement transfer. If you are looking for a new, mid-range/affordable firm mattress, check this one out! I recognize that mattress preferences can be deeply personal, so I do encourage you to check these out in store before you make a purchase.

My husband likes mattresses that are not on the firm side but he gave this a try and loves it! Good thing because it’s not going anywhere! As I’ve aged I see now that firm is my new mattress and this one is a game changer for my hips and back. I really love it and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable yet firm mattress to sleep on.

My husband and I tried out a new queen sized 12.5’’ firm quilted mattress. We previously had a hybrid mattress that we were unhappy with - it was too soft and was hurting our backs. We’ve been using the new firm one for almost a month now and are quite happy with the change. It provides much more support. I have larger back issues than a mattress will solve unfortunately, but I have mostly liked the change, and my husband loves it. It does have a quilted top that makes it feel a little softer while still mostly holding its shape. As you sleep on it, it does start to conform to your body a bit. I didn’t love this quality at first and would have rather it just been a truly firm mattress, but I have started getting more used to it.
