This is a handcrafted hollow fireplace mantel. Our mantels are hand-made with love and passion. These mantels are as beautiful as they are useful, robust, light, and elegant. The distressed look is achieved by hand with attention to detail. As a result, no two beams are the same and your beam will be one-of-a-kind. Dimensions may vary slightly from selected, due to the nature of the wood and the time effect on it. We use pine boards for our distressed mantels. The final product might appear a bit lighter or darker because of the lighting and nature of the wood.

Wow! This 72” mantel was even better than expected. The stain was even, and the finish was more on the matte side which was exactly what I wanted for our remodeled family room! Thais entertainmentbook shelf unit came in 4 huge heavy boxes. Thank goodness my husband had help from my visiting daughter otherwise we would have never gotten them in the house. Hubby opened the first box, hoping to find directions and hardware. We finally found them in box 3. If you like hardware, you will love putting this unit together. My husband discovers all boxes have pieces that go with each aspect of the unit so we would not have room in our living room for assembly. While moving box one down the stairs leading into the garage, my husband pulled his back out. The box landed safely. My daughter and I managed to get to the kitchen. Although its origin is unknown, its character is very much alive with its history. Saw marks, bark remnants, insect life, weathering and natural beauty are all meticulously captured and preserved by a patented molding material and then lovingly hand painted and finished. Made in the USA, this shelf has an 8 inch depth allowing for ample room on top for personal affects. Due to the natural imperfections captured from the reclaimed wood, the top of the mantel shelf will have natural offsets and depressions, versus a flush top, and the dimensions will vary slightly, i.e. shelf height and depth will be marginally different across the entire mantel. 6”H x 8”D 110lbs. When mounting your mantel, adhere to “clearances to combustibles” specifications of your fireplace insert or stove.

This is heavy, beautiful, substantial and really looks quite stately and regal in the room. I hired professional installers (a carpenter and an assistant) and it took them approximately one full workday 9-5 to install it. Its heavy and needs to be done correctly to look architectural and finished. Thrilled with it! Still have some painting and styling to do to the wall (painting) and fireplace (styling) (and some caulking between the end of the fireplace and the wall), but very very happy with this purchase!. Beautiful mantel quality as expected worth the price highly recommend.
