Larksville Black/Red Area Rug

I bought this carpet a month ago. Although this is a beautiful, thick carpet, it is unbelievable how much it sheds. When vacuuming it, my canister fills up completely every time. It has been vacuumed at least ten to twelve times and it is not getting any better. After sitting and playing on it with my grandson, thick, fluffy lint is all over the carpet and on my hardwood floor. I keep thinking it will get better in time, but it only seems to be getting worse. It's really too bad, because the carpet itself is beautiful.
