This product has a 20 Mil backing and there is no need for additional underlayment. Every mat is at least 8' wide and comes in a variety of lengths to suit your needs. The adhesive is required. The low-profile Coin pattern has a 75 Mil base and a 110 Mil overall thickness. The slightly raised surface acts as small grips to help with traction and to repel spills.
