Love this piece! Enough room for the bed to be flipped up while its made. Feels very well made. You need some experience to assemble it though- mush be screwed into the floor.

A Nightmare Experience Despite a Decent Product I ordered the "Arlex Murphy Bed" from Wayfair on September 2, 2024, and what followed was a 3+ month saga of frustration and disappointment. The "wall bed mechanism"—you know, the part that actually makes it a Murphy bed—didn’t arrive until November, leaving me with an unfinished Murphy bed for OVER TWO MONTHS. During this time, I spent over 20 hours on the phone with Wayfair's support team, trying to make sense of delays that were entirely due to the supplier's incompetence. While the product itself is nice and functions as advertised, the experience was so awful that it gives me heart palpitations every time I walk past the Murphy bed. To make matters worse, I’m STILL missing two parts from the supplier. Stephanie C from Wayfair support was the only saving grace in this nightmare. She has been tremendously helpful and truly deserves a raise for dealing with this mess. If you're considering this product, be prepared for endless frustration, wasted time, and the need to micromanage delivery every step of the way.

Exceptional quality and functionality. I would recommend having one other person to help worn assembly, if you plan on building it yourself and plan on at least 6 hours of work.

Very heavy, sturdy material. Hired a professional to assemble once we saw how many pieces and how sturdy the materials were. Didn’t want to ruin the high quality of these materials with shabby craftwork.

Straightforward to put together. High quality bed. Soooo happy!

This bed is great! We turned a 4th bedroom into my husbands office yet still wanted the flexibility of having a guest room. It's perfect! The overhead lighting is wonderful if you'd like to sit in bed & read and the drawers & hanging rod are perfect for overnight guests. The only wish is that there was some type of headboard. We've used poof seating cushions as backrests ~ which has worked thus far but isn't ideal.

Definitely takes experience and time to put up (be-warned, you will have to drill into your wall studs to properly secure it. If you have a base board with additional trim you might have to remove that as well to get everything flush to the wall too). But it’s a solid piece and well designed. It’s exactly as pictured, it will take at least 2 people to put this together.

The finished product is very nice. The pistons seem not to leave the bed in the open position. I am waiting to install the mattress to see if it helps to stay open. One of the white panels came damaged, luckily for us it was from the I side so it didn’t affect. It’s supper heavy. You do need 2 people working on it.

Definitely requires 2 strong, handy people working together to build but turned out excellent!!
