Easy to assemble. Disappointed with the columns not being real wood. Its aluminum post coated laminate wood like. A little smaller than what I expected. Lasted 1 year, collapsed during a rainy night.

This has been up 6 days. It collapsed after a rain storm. Don’t waste your money. I would give it no stars but it was easy to put up. But it’s junk.

This item is great for the price. We love having shade on our deck. The build takes awhile but is not overly complicated in any step, just many steps to complete. The most disappointing part of the product is the wingnuts which are meant to hold the shade in place on the track bar do not have enough hold to keep the shade in place during even a light breeze. We have had to tie our own string on each corner from the wingnut to the base of the track pole to keep the shade in place. This has made the shade unadjustable.

My Husband assembled our Pergola in no time at all. We love it. I searched a long time until I found this one. It is so pretty. It was perfect for our deck. We are very satisfied.

This is beautiful and fantastic in dry weather. However, when it rains more than a little, the water sometimes pools quite a bit in the fabric between the jousts. (Se we added fiberglass panels beneath the fabric which prevents the water from pooling.)

Update after 1 year. We used a grommet machine to punch holes on ends and used ties to hold cover down to upper poles (wanted it to function while keeping it esthetically pleasing) still flew off and now the cover is torn and still flew off. We truly regret buying this. Liked the look. The canopy part is a PAIN. Flies off with any kind of wind or breeze. Very frustrated.

It was a nice piece. Unfortunately a strong wind decided to blow it away

It literally took 2 people 7 hours to out up. End result is a great looking Pergola. Must make sure it's anchored well or any windy condition will be an issue.

Directions are outdated and poor. Had to take the post apart and swap them (after the frame was assembled two people holding the top up while we swap posts) as the direction did not show where the shade support bracket pole attached. I bought the 12x12 pergola. The poles that slide into the shade bottom do not stay together it’s a press fit malefemale in a hem at the bottom. This pole needs to be 12”-1” longer. When the wind blows the bottom shade pole comes apart in the hem. The installation video helps a little has one person ( yeah right) I had 3 people The wind does blow this shade a lot. I’ll try Velcro on the shade or weave it under the support top brackets as other have. It took 4-5 hours. We like the way it looks. A lot of room. Don’t know if we’d buy it again. The canvas roof is a poor design. There should be some system to secure it to the top better. Perhaps a weighted canvas or a bracket on top for it to fit in and slide
