Hand tightening the screws...ALL the screws...is carpal-tunnel waiting to happen. BUT, it's easy to overtighten and ruin the hole. This chest is absolutely stunning. It looks exactly like it is pictured online. The whole chest is solid, well made, and it is very heavy. The drawers are soft-close and can hold quite a bit, however the drawers are not particularly deep. The granite is beautiful and since this chest is so large there is quite a bit of granite surface area. I purchased this for my office but it would look beautiful in a bedroom as well. In fact, I kind of want the bedroom set after seeing this in person. I am so happy with this purchase. Arrived box heavily damaged right in area that says in big red letters “handle with care”! Top and bottom busted open. Moreover — there is a highly visible drip stain falling from right side handle. Clearly that would have been seen been seen at the factory BEFORE packaging and BEFORE Wayfair VERIFIED this item. Also there is some damage to the right side front base corner.
